Milton Raphael, known to many of you as Jeremy Koontz, will be giving a solo piano recital on Thursday, May 20th, at The Bismarck Studios Contemporary Fine Art Gallery, 7:00pm. Jeremy is quite an interesting person. He gives music lessons, published a “electronic” book which comes on a DVD and has pictures and music, and is working on music for children.
This special performance will feature original compositions based on wildlife paintings by San Antonio artist Bill Nichols, as well as include guest performances by Sarah Koontz as flute soloist, and local musician Erica Anthony. Bill Nichols’ art work will be available for sale. Bill is a traditional painter, a Baptist Minister and lifelong painter of portraits for well known people like Bob Dole and the HEB family. He is a painter's painter. Infusing the portraits with creative elements in the background and likes it a lot more to be able to do his own paintings. He would be more interested in depicting facial expressions and the wrinkles left behind in someone’s face than doing the “pretty” portrait.
 
This Saturday the 22nd at 6pm, there will be the food soiree. 

Main Chef will be from the Cove downtown. They will cook the main dish, the ingredients are provided by Greenling.

Starts at 6pm at the gallery and besides the food they will serve wine.
