On October 7, 2009 beginning at 5 p.m. fans can enjoy three hot shows when “Riverwalk Jazz” and the Jim Cullum Jazz Band celebrate 20 years on the radio with a night of red-hot jazz and three live broadcast recordings at Pearl Stable in San Antonio.  The programs will be broadcast on public radio stations nationwide on October 29, November 19 and November 26.

Jim Cullum, Jr., doesn’t understand why some people bemoan winter’s shorter days. From the perspective of the acclaimed cornetist, night couldn’t come soon enough. “I believe that the beautiful things in life happen after dark. The candlelight, beautiful music, a glass of wine, the romance, a great dinner, all of those things that I would rather do,” he says.
