Food lovers explore the incredible variety of flavors served up in one event, from large and small, trendy and off-the-beaten path restaurants. Taste-size portions allow participants to sample the fares of many restaurants and find new venues for eating out. Proceeds benefit the Greater Austin Restaurant Association Scholarship Fund. AUSTIN-BASED SPIRITS COMPANY LAUNCHES DULCE VIDA™ TEQUILA
Austin, widely celebrated for its creative class, is home to many inventive start-ups. While technology companies come to mind, Austin has been developing a more spirited kind of business lately—it’s now home base to several liquor companies, including Tito’s Vodka, Dripping Springs Texas Vodka, Treaty Oak Rum, and most recently, Dulce Vida™, a handcrafted tequila made from organic agave.

The Russell Collection will host a special appearance and art show by the popular artist prodigy Alexandra Nechita at their downtown Austin gallery in January 2010. Nechita, now 24, began drawing at the age of two and by seven was painting with oils and acrylics. Her first exhibit was a one-woman (child) show when she was eight years old.
